"When should we reserve the date for our wedding cake?"
It is never too early to plan for your wedding cake. As with
all wedding services, reserving early will give you more choices.
Many brides reserve a year or more in advance of the wedding,
and we also accept reservations closer to the wedding date if
we have time available. A deposit of $500.00 will reserve our
time for your wedding date.
"How do we begin the process of selecting a wedding cake?"
Contact me by phone or e-mail. I am happy to give you as much information as you would like, including pricing. Then, if you think that we might be a good fit, we can set a date for a complimentary Wedding Cake Consultation and tasting appointment.
"We would like to serve the wedding cake as dessert. Can we do that?"
Yes, it is a lovely choice and often more economical than serving another dessert.
"Can we have two or more different flavors of cake within the wedding cake?"
Yes, couples often choose to have two or more flavors, to offer a choice to their guests, to please themselves, or just for fun.
"Can we save the top tier for our First Anniversary?"
Yes, if you would like. Or you could choose to have a complimentary fresh Anniversary Cake if you prefer. If you do choose to save the top tier of your cake, I will give you a box for saving it in the freezer.
"How do we cut the cake?"
The cake cutting usually takes place while guests are still seated after dinner, or once dancing has begun. The bride puts her hand on the handle of the knife, and the groom places his hand over hers. Together, they make the first two cuts and remove a small slice. The groom feeds the bride the first bite. She feeds him the second.
